...was born in Rochester New York. He studied at the School of Fine Art and Design at R.I.T. working in all media genre's. He found himself drawn to working with stained glass but also engaged in other forms of glasswork; from Tiffany restoration to glass carvings, fusing and bas-relief. In casting bas-relief he is able to combine his sculptural abilities with his knowledge of glass to produce original works of art. The majority of his work has been privately commissioned and appears in many homes, offices and galleries, primarily in the United States and Japan. Now Mr. Scira is part of the Faucets Galore design team.
